Pinkfresh Studio Spring Release Blog Hop

Hey crafty friends,

Welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio Spring Release Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from the water color extraordinaire Erum's blog!

There's gorgeous new stamps and dies in this release again! Hop along to see all of them in action! I am showcasing the wonderful Folk Tree stamp set today, designed by Inna Moreva. It's a really versatile set, consisting of a ton of tiny little stamps that you can use many ways. I've made 4 cards, hope you'll like them!

For my first card I used a limited color palette, green, greys and corals/red. First I stamped the tree, then one by one added the little details, leaves, hearts and two birdies. I also stamped the sentiment. Then I mounted the card panel onto a slightly bigger red card stock which I then adhered onto an A2 size coral card stock, and all of this onto an A2 size top folding card base. I stamped an additional two birdies and fussy cut them, then using pop dots I adhered them too. Super simple and quick!

For my next card I picked a pink/grey color palette because I really wanted to use the blings that Lea sent me that same day! I stamped the tree in grey, added light grey leaves and tiny flowers in a couple of different pinks. I then added a few blings. I trimmed off the white panel just a little bit and adhered it onto an A2 size light pink card stock. Again, all of this onto an A2 size top folding card base. I embossed the sentiment on a strip of grey card stock and glued it on my card. To finish off this card I stamped two birdies in pink, fussy cut them and popped them up next to the sentiment.

By the way, the birds don't have tail feathers but I used different leaf stamps to add some on 3 of the cards. Aren't those cute?

Since this set is called Folk Tree, I decided I'd create a card that reminds me of some Hungarian folk art. Here I mainly mean the colors. I stamped the tree in brown ink, added various leaves in green, then used a flower stamp to add different colors to my card. I didn't mask anything, with these small images I felt like it was not necessary. To finish off the card I stamped the sentiment, popped up two birdies (check the different tail feathers!) and added some red enamel dots.

My last card was inspired by the super talented May Park - I love the way she combines small images to stamp a background. So I thought I'd create a card without the tree, using only the flowers, dots and some leaves that look like hearts. I went with the same colors as on my previous card. I masked off an oval shape and stamped around it. Then I die cut two ovals in different sizes and colors. I glued these together, stamped my sentiment and adhered them to the card front using foam adhesive, so that the card is a bit more dimensional. At last I die cut some flowers using the super duper gorgeous Floral Frame with a Swan die, designed by Bea Valint (and showcased by Isha Gupta later in this hop!) and added these two my card. Some Nuvo drops and done!
