My new favorite jammies - DT layout for The Cut Shoppe

Hi guys,

I'm back with my latest layout for The Cut Shoppe today!

I've been doing a lot of girly pages lately and was kind of missing doing boy pages. So I grabbed my stash of Crate Paper Cool Kid and used that for today's layout. I love this collection so much!

I chose the Out of Line Alpha cut file to create a big title, which is also my main design element.

I cut the letters from yellow patterned paper so that they pop from the grey background. I backed these with different patterned papers from the collection.

I used a photo of my son from when he was little.  I printed it twice, in different colors. Mainly because I couldn't decide which one I liked more. :) I layered some tissue paper and some patterned paper scraps behind my photos.

As an exception I didn't use a lot of embellishments. I tucked two tags from the ephemera pack under my photos and I wrote my journaling on these.

I added some strips of papers to the bottom and top and I also fussy cut some of the triangle paper and tucked it under my paper strips. I attached a chipboard piece at the top with my Tiny Attacher.

I love to use phrase stickers and there is a sheet with silver stickers in this collection. I chose a couple and placed them here and there on my page. And that was pretty much it!

I hope you enjoyed today's layout.
Thank you for stopping by, see you soon!

Well, it was about time!

Hi guys,

Just popping in to share some layouts I made for fun, using products I had wanted to put my hands on in like forever! Hence my title. It's about friggin time, ha! The very first time I heard of Cocoa Vanilla Studio was when they came out with the Life is Beautiful collection. Then I checked their website and saw the Made of Awesome line which I found perfect for my little boy at the time. I literally searched the whole internet to find that collection but only bits and pieces were available in Europe and I couldn't justify the delivery cost (and import tax!) from Australia. So I just waited patiently. While I never managed to get Made of Awesome, finally, after 1.5 years or so Scrapbook Werkstatt ordered the new Endless Summer collection! It is a beautiful collection, even though not quite my style, because I love bright, bold colors (so basically the next collection that is coming out, Wild at Heart, is more my thing!). But I did not think twice whether I should order it haha! Finally, at last, Cocoa Vanilla in my hands!

Without further ado, here are my layouts I did with the collection so far. I made all these for a colleague of mine. I need to create some for myself too though, so I will edit this post later to add more layouts as I go.

Check out Cocoa Vanilla Studio if you don't know them yet. Pure gorgeousness!

Happy Heart Day - DT project for Fancy Pants Designs

Hi everyone,

Happy heart day! I hope all of you get to spend some time with your loved ones!

Today I have a home deco project to share with you.

I used the wonderful Sweet Nothings collection for this one, of course! I realized I haven't used the Fancy Pants clipboards yet, so I thought this would be the perfect occassion for it.

I decided to just cover it all with patterned paper instead of clipping things to it. I used my ATG to do this so actually it's all easily removable, should I want to create a different design in the future.

With this new clipboard it's really easy to cover everything, because you can remove the clip! You only need a screwdriver. That's pretty clever isn't it?

I wanted to use a lot of different patterned papers, because, well, I love patterned papers! I also love rolled flowers, so that's what I did: used many different papers for my rolled flowers! I made sure I had every color from the collection, yellow, pink, grey, black and white. I used my Cameo to cut these (the cut files I bought at the Silhouette Design Store, just search for 3d or rolled flowers), but you could cut some by hand too if you don't have a diecutting machine. It will just take time.

Since it's Valentine's Day, I arranged the flowers in a heart shape and with my hot glue gun I adhered them to the background. I glued this cute post stamp from the ephemera pack on top of the flowers.

I used the puffy alpha stickers from the collection to create the sentiment, which is Happy Heart Day. I only needed to add Happy and Day since my flower heart served as part of the sentiment.

Because I just love tags, I tucked one under the striped paper at the right bottom and added my letters on top of this. To finish it off I created three heart clusters using the super cute puffy heart stickers.

It's a simple project and it's also fairly quick, only the flowers take a bit of time. They are worth every minute though, they always turn out gorgeous!

I hope you can use this idea for a project! Thanks for stopping by today!

Me & You - DT layout for The Cut Shoppe

Hi there,

I'm back with you today with a new layout for The Cut Shoppe that is quite fitting this time of year!

I used the new XOXO cut file for this layout.

https://www.etsy.com/listing/509262165/the-xoxo-cut-file-can-be-used-as?ref=shop_home_feat_2

However, I decided to go with hearts instead of squares, so I just enlargened one of the heart shapes, multiplied it and replaced the squares by these.

Then I just created a simple grid design. I layered a heart shaped vellum under each patterned paper heart and only adhered both of these in the middle so I could fold up the sides for an airy feel.

I pulled out some embroidery floss in matching colors and hand stitched the hearts in the middle.

I added a few bits and pieces to some of the hearts: stickers, puffy stickers, rub-ons. I didn't want to overdecorate this layout because I felt like the hearts were already embellishments.

I layered some patterned papers, frames and tissue papers under my photo to draw attention to it. I added some rub-ons directly to the photo, I like the way that looks. A cute little brad also found its way onto my layout!

To finish off my page I splattered some gold ink around the page. I normally add journaling to my pages but this one is a part of a series of the same event, so I didn't feel the need to add the same thing on all of them.

I hope you found some inspiration here today! Thank you for stopping by! Till next time, X

Hello - Guest DT layout for Clique Kits

Hi there,

Popping in to share a new layout with you that I created for Clique Kits with their gorgeous February Kit, Bee You, using their February sketch!

Check out the details on how you can participate in their challenge on the Clique Kits blog

So here's my take on the sketch:

I love love love the Clique Kits February exclusive hexagon background cut file and definitely wanted to use it on one of my layouts. I cropped it so it fits the sketch. I backed most of the hexagons with different patterned papers, then adhered the cut file on a white card stock. I layered some tissue paper and tags behind my photo, added my title and some other cork embellishments, butterflies (diecut and rub-ons), enamel shapes, journaling, date and black ink splatters et voila, done!

Below you can see some more detail shots:

Here's the awesome kit I got to work with. You can buy this and more at the Clique Kits store!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you liked what you saw! Till next time, X

Lovely Day - Guest DT layout and cards for Clique Kits

Hi there scrappy friends,

I'm popping in to show you a new layout and a set of cards I created with the gorgeous Clique Kits February kit, Bee You!

Brace yourselves for a million photos :).

This layout was inspired by my good friend Enza's stunning Pink Paislee layout where she did a circle of butterflies.

I started out by painting a circle, using 6 different shades of blue water colors. I then rubbed in some gold flakes here and there. I love the look, even if I covered up most of it :). You can still see it peeking out!

I cut out my circle and adhered it on top of my polka dot background. I then fussy cut out ALL the butterflies from the 1Canoe2 paper. This took a while...But I love them! Look at those colors!

I arranged the butterflies around my painted circle and left an opening on the right side for my title. I then glued them down.

I kept the rest of the layout very simple. I only added some tissue paper and a tag behind my photo and a diecut and a cork shape on my photo. Journaling and date stamp and done! Simple, but I love how it turned out!

I had so many butterflies left and I didn't want to throw them away, so I created some cards and used them up. I just love butterflies!

For the card with the big heart I created a cut file, using a heart from The Cut Shoppe. Below you can see a detail shot. It's a foldable card that you can close with some twine. I once got a similar card from Maxim that they made at the Hungarian kindergarten where he used to go when he was smaller. I really loved it and thought it was such a neat idea!

The other two cards are just on a simple 6x4" white cardstock base. I used scraps for these two, plus some pieces of ephemera and an acrylic piece. For the life of me I could not figure out what YOU DO YOU means, this is the best I could come up with :D.

And here is the fab kit that you can get at the Clique Kits store:

I hope I could inspire you today! Thanks for stopping by X
