In the spotlight: Cocoa Vanilla Studio - Bohemian Dream at Scrapbook Werkstatt

Hi there,

I haven't done this in a while so I thought it would be about time...Here's a summary of my projects I created with the beautiful new Bohemian Dream collection!

I'll be honest, I prefer Wild at Heart from Cocoa Vanilla, but this collection is still gorgeous. I am crazy about the floral paper! And there are some new products in this collection too: 6x6 paper pad, a stamp set and white chipboard titles. You can buy all these and more at Scrapbook Werkstatt! The embellies might be sold out now but not to worry, a new batch is on its way. So if you missed out on this collection, make sure you keep checking the SBW website!

Without further ado...these are my projects:

Hope you like them! Should you have any questions, just write a comment :).

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Love You - DT layout for Just Nick

Hi there scrappy friends,

I'm back today with a new layout I created for Just Nick.

I chose the Graphic Background cut file for this. I have used this cut file before, but not in a long time, so I thought why not use it again?

I went with white card stock again, like most of the time... I picked the wonderful Cocoa Vanilla Wild at Heart collection for this layout. I love this navy floral paper and I thought the white cut file looks great on it. I stitched down each part of the cut file with navy thread to add some interest.

I placed my photo a bit off center, to the right, and layered a few pieces of die cuts, chipboard frame and tissue paper behind it.

Then I started embellishing. I wanted to keep all embellishments around the photo so that most of the background is still visible.  I added lots of die cut flowers; some of them I glued down with liquid glue, others I popped up with foam adhesive to create dimension. I really love dimension on my layouts! I also used flair buttons, stickers, chipboard pieces and some resin flowers from one of the earlier Cocoa Vanilla collections. I think those are my favorites, so cute right?

I know the title is not very original, but I love the way these big chipboard letters look and well this title does fit my photo so why not? With the amount of layouts I make it's hard to come up with creative titles, especially ones that are short (because I prefer them short). So I end up with a lot of Sweet, Cute, Love, Awesome etc titles I'm afraid, especially if the photo just captures a candid moment, not any special event.

Other than the stitching, which took a bit of time, this layout came together very quickly, which is unusual for me! I really like how it turned out, I hope you do too!

Thanks for stopping by today! Until next time,

X

This month the mood board was created by the awesome Birgit! It's fresh and summery, perfect to scrap those summer photos! I love the colors! Birgit compiled this mood board from her own photos - look at those blues! Gorgeous!
Again, there's no blog hop or prize or anything, just inspiration. We all are very different style scrappers, from casual and simple, elegant and delicate to messy and complex, so I think we bring something for everyone here today. Come check out all projects on Instagram!
This is my layout based on the mood board:

Thanks to Christin we now have our own little banner yay! So cute no?

Here's the list of talented Ladies who participate in this little get together this month (in no particular order)! Check out their projects on Instagram, ENJOY!
Have a great day you guys, thanks for stopping by!

Hey hey my my - DT layout for The Cut Shoppe

Hi guys,

I'm back today with a new layout I created for The Cut Shoppe!

I've picked the All Heart Remix cut file which is one of my favourites ever from The Cut Shoppe and I've used it many times too. In fact I've used it in this form as well, cropped into two semi-circles, but I do like this design so I don't mind doing it more than once. The end result is always different since I use different collections, decorate differently and so on.

https://www.etsy.com/listing/234503384/the-all-heart-remix-cut-file-is-a

I've chosen the stunning Wild at Heart collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio - now that CVS is finally available in Germany (at Scrapbook Werkstatt) I can't stay away :).

I very often go with white card stock for my cut file because I generally don't have a plan in my head when I start a layout. And with a white cut file one can go in many directions!

I backed the bigger semi-circle with different patterned papers from the collection and glued it down on the right top side of my page. I didn't glue down the biggest hearts so they add a bit of dimension.

I layered some tissue paper and a couple of the frame ephemera pieces behind my photo and placed these on the big semi-circle. I added some phrase stickers, chipboards, ephemera, fussy cut butterfly and a flair button to embellish this side. I wrote my journaling here too.

Don't ask about the title...I just had this song on my mind when I was working on the layout :).

As for the smaller semi-circle. I cut this from the same white card stock and glued it down completely so it is flush against the background. I hand stitched a few of the hearts and did some string art.

I filled some hearts with those fabulous glitter enamel dots, some wood veneer hearts and I added a couple more fussy cut butterflies.

I splattered some blue paint across my page to finish it off. I hope I could inspire today in some small way!
