Welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolor Blog Hop! We are celebrating a new awesome Pinkfresh Studio product today with this hop, the liquid watercolors! I'm sure you've already caught a glimpse of a rainbow peek somewhere on social media! The colors are so vibrant and gorgeous! I'm sure all of you coloring enthusiasts will love this addition to the Pinkfresh Studio arsenal! I very rarely color lately but even I loved playing with these fab watercolors! I mean just look at them:
I love all colors in the world, but blue has always had a special place in my heart, since my childhood! Especially indigo. Luckily Kinnari loves it too so I was sure it was going to be in the watercolor collection too! So let me introduce Sapphire!
I only used this one color on my first card! I used the Let's Flamingle stamp set and heat embossed the stamped image with white WOW embossing powder. Then I just gave it all a light watercolor wash, lighter at the top, darker at the bottom. Next, I added more color to the flowers, the flamingo and some leaves. And done! I don't think I've ever made such a quick card in my life! Once it dried, I trimmed it down a little and using foam adhesive I adhered it to an A2 size top folding card base. I stamped my sentiment with Versamark ink on a thin piece of navy card stock and heat embossed it with white WOW embossing powder. I attached this at the bottom of my card with foam adhesive. A couple of crystals in the same color and my card was ready!
I've used the same stamp set for my next card too. This time I wanted to make it more colorful so I can use more of the watercolors. I again heat embossed the image with white embossing powder then started coloring the flamingo with Bubblegum. Next I added more colors to the flowers, Sunshine, Clementine, Aquamarine and Lavender. Once these dried, I fussy cut them out because I wanted to create a more dimensional card.
I added a light watercolor wash to my background, using Sky Blue and Aquamarine. I splattered some paint on it too. Once it was dry, I stamped my sentiment using navy ink. I adhered this on an A2 size top folding card base. Next I added some foam adhesive to my flamingo, tucked some metallic aqua thread behind it and glued it on my card front. I layered the flowers on the flamingo and done!
I hope you like today's inspirations and give these watercolors a go! In fact, you can even WIN them yay!
