Pretty Pink Posh + WOW! Embossing Powder Blog Hop

Hi there friends,

A very big crafty hello and welcome to a very special Blog Hop collaboration with the WOW! Embossing Powder & Pretty Pink Posh design teams. You should have arrived here from Olga's blog!

We are going to bring you a fun hop where there are PRIZES from both companies up for grabs, and lots of inspiration!
The crafters involved in this hop are going to bring you an array of projects, colouring inspiration and a variety of ways to have fun with both Pretty Pink Posh & WOW Embossing Powders collectively.

I received such cute items from Pretty Pink Posh, I was really happy with them and couldn't wait to use them! On my first card I used the Bold Bloom stamps and coordinating dies to create all these tiny little embossed flowers. I chose a few different patterned papers and embossed the images with WOW Opaque White Regular embossing powder.

I created an A2 size top folding card base and stamped my sentiment on it with a very light blue ink. This sentiment is one from the fabulous Everyday Greetings set. I love love love the font and all the sentiments, so I'm sure I'll be using these often!

I die cut all the little flowers, stems and leaves and arranged them on my card base. Once I like the look, I glued them down. I added a strip of patterned paper at the top as well as some Nuvo drops, to finish up my project.

Next up is a card where I stamped and embossed the whole background using two leaf stamps from the Bold Blooms stamp set. I used the WOW Oyster Glintz and Mayan Glintz embossing powders. They are super pretty, pearl like colors! I trimmed off a bit from this panel and glued it on an A2 size top folding card base.

I then die cut my sentiment "Lovely" with the help of the Pretty Pink Posh Lovely Script die. I die cut it once from patterned paper and a bunch of times from white card stock. I glued them all together to get a more dimensional piece.

I adhered this onto my card front. As a last step I added some Pretty Pink Posh jewels, in Sea Glass colors. I glued them down upside down becaue the color on the bottom fits my card more.

I think this third card is my favorite! I love colorful things! I created an A2 size card base (this time in landscape orientation). I started stamping on an A2 size white card stock - I didn't plan this out at all. I was alternating between the different flowers and stamped them at different heights. What I love about this set especially is that there is a stamp for each flower and leaf to add color to them. This way I don't have to spend time on coloring! Love it!

I stamped and embossed my sentiment (same stamp set as before) with WOW Primary Ebony Regular embossing powder. Some black ink splatters and done!

I hope you like these projects! Let me know what you think!

Friendship - DT layout for Paige Evans + Silhouette

Hello crafty friends,

I'm back with a new layout I've created for the Paige Evans + Silhouette Design Team!

I decided to go with the Flower cut file (Design ID: 269071) and my favorite papers from the beautiful Pick-me-up collection!

In Silhouette Studio I designed my page: I multiplied the flowers and changed their direction so they don't all look the same. I arranged them in a circle only leaving space for a photo in the middle. Then I sent it all to my Cameo.

I always plan to back multiple cut files like these with different papers but then I always end up backing them the same way because there's too much thinking involved and my brain can't take it haha! But I do love monochromatic layouts so that's OK. I glued them down on my background paper.

I layered some tissue papers and tags behind my photo and adhered all to the background paper. I then went through all my embellishments and pulled everything out that I thought matched. I was pretty happy to find the Friendship chipboard because this picture is of me and my best friend in the whole world! We've known each other for 25 years (oh.my.god)! Actually as you're reading this, she will be arriving to Barcelona with her twins to spend a week with us on holiday woot woot! I love her to pieces!

I added another chipboard piece and a few die cuts. I felt like this layout didn't need more! Oh, I splattered some gold ink around the page too.

I hope you like how this turned out!

Thanks for stopping by today! I wish you an awesome day!

Card inspiration - DT project for Pinkfresh Studio

Hi there friends,

I'm stopping by to share some new cards I've created for Pinkfresh Studio with gorgeous new products from the July release!

On these first two cards I've used the beautiful Fancy Floral 2 die. This is actually a layering die, when you use it together with the Fancy Floral 1 die, it creates a beautiful layered look. However on these cards I only used one panel.

My idea was to cut this panel from different color card stocks and then doing inlay technique to add color to a white card. I'm bad at throwing away stuff so I used one of the coral panels too. I cut off some parts of that die cut and glued the remaining piece on a white A2 size top folding card base.

I added some gold splatters and a triangular piece of white vellum, which I used for my sentiment. This sentiment comes from the Bloom stamp set. I stamped this with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I added some crystals to finish off this card.

On the other card I did add color with the inlay technique. This took me ages but I think it's worth it, I love how that looks. I didn't want to cover up this background of couse, since I spent so much time on it. So I decided to only add a sentiment strip and some gold thread. This time I embossed the sentiment (from the same stamp set as before) with gold embossing powder. Some gold ink splatters and crystals and done!

On my next two cards I've used the Pretty Paisley stamp and die sets. I love the folklore feel of this stamp! First I cut a paisley shaped window in a 4.25"x5.50" white card stock. Then I put together my top folding card base: I attached a piece of grid patterned paper from the Simple & Sweet collection to my white card base.

I stamped a bunch of flowers in colors that coordinate with the Simple & Sweet collection and tucked them behind the paisley window. What I forgot to do before assembling this card was to stamp the sentiment. I'm happy it stamped at all! Finally, I added a few enamel dots in matching colors.

For my second card I stamped the paisley one time as well as two of those pretty floral pieces. Using foam adhesive I attached this piece to my A2 size top folding card base. I then stamped it again, using different colors (but all from the Simple &Sweet collection) and die cut it. For this pisley I didn't use any foam adhesive, I just glued it down as is, then trimmed off the excess.

.

To finish off this card, I added some enamel dots and my sentiment.

That's it for today! I hope I could inspire you in some way!

Happy crafting!

This time we are focusing on the Indie Line - this collection is only available at select online stores and local independent retailers! You can find the list of retailers here. This collection is not available for purchase at the Spellbinders online store!

I've used the Shapeabilities Layered Butterfly etched dies and the Friend Expression and Die set on my cards today.

First I cut out 3 butterflies from a variety of patterned papers, then from white card stock. On the stripey background I pieced them back together with the inlay technique. On the white card I simply layered them up and glued them on a 4.25"x5.50" white card stock.

I then die cut Friend from white and purple papers and glued these on my cards. To finish off these cards I added some jewels and sequins in coordinating colors.

Simple cards but I like the way they turned out, all these colors make me happy! I hope you like them too!

All that glitters - DT project for WOW! Embossing Powder

Hey crafty friends,

This month it is all about glitter at WOW Embossing Powder! Like every girl I love glitter too! My boyfriend however, not so much haha! I didn't even notice how it covered the whole kitchen floor (my craft space is in the kitchen!). Oh well!

For my cards today I used the lovely Posie Fill-In stamps and dies bundle from Concord and 9th. I cut a piece of watercolor card stock and placed it in my stamping platform. I inked up my background stamp with WOW Embossing Pad and stamped the image. I repeated this once more to get a good coverage.

I poured WOW Bright White Regular embossing powder on it and embossed it.

I then added a light purple watercolor wash so the beautiful white grid is more visible.

It looks a bit splotchy and distressed at this point...The big areas where there's no grid are where the posies will be! Apropos posies...I stamped a bunch of them and embossed them with two different kinds of embossing glitters: Persian Indigo and Mulberry Mist. I did the same with some leaves. Aren't these colors AH-MAZING?! I'm so in love!

I die cut them all using the coordinating dies, and I also die cut some smaller leaves from lavender, white and navy card stocks. Boy this took ages ha! But I think it was so worth the effort.

I trimmed down my card fronts to 4.25"x5.5" and adhered them on the same size top folding card bases.

Next up the fun part! Assembly! I glued down everything, then trimmed off any excess.

I embossed 2 sentiments with Bright White Regular embossing powder and added these two, using foam adhesive.

To finish up the cards I added some white Nuvo drops to the center of my flowers.

I love all the texture and dimension and those glitters! Just WOW! :) What do you guys think?

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Hydrangea Love - DT layout for Paige Evans + Silhouette

Hi there friends,

I'm stopping by to share a new layout I've made for the Paige Evans + Silhouette Design Team!

I chose the Bend Up Flower Background cut file (Design ID: #268652) and Paige's Oh My Heart collection for this page.

I selected a few flowers and leaves I wanted to work with and deleted the rest of the cut file. I enlarged the shapes and arranged them in a way they covered half the page. I then sent the file to cut on my Silhouette Cameo. Next, I backed the cut outs with different patterned papers. It was way too white for my taste so I added some colorful circles to the middle of the flowers, using pop dots.

I cut the paper in half (diagonally), I did the same with a green patterned paper too and mounted these two on a heavier card stock. I added a strip of orange patterned paper in the middle for some contrast and interest as well as to hide the cut lines in the middle.

I fussy cut a bunch of flowers and layered them up around my photo. I tucked a tag behind the photo and wrote my journaling on it. Added my title and called it done!

I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day!

Fun in the Sun - DT layout for Fancy Pants Designs

Hi there crafty friends,

I'm sharing a new layout today that I've made for Fancy Pants Designs.

I've used the Poolside collection with a little bit of The Bright Side on this one.

I chose this adorable Crab cut file from Paige Evans (Silhouette ID: #267053) and cut it from textured white card stock. Then I backed it with patterned papers from both collections and adhered it on the background paper (from The Bright Side collection).

I kind of put the photo in the crab's claws but now that I'm looking at the close-up I notice it came out on the left side. Oh well, you get the idea :). For my title I used a die cut, Fun in the Sun, which perfectly fits my photo! Because apparently at that age eating sand is fun, ha! I also tucked that adorable smiling sun die cut behind the title and adhered another phrase die cut on the photo. Oh, and of course I had to use a rubber charm clip! How cute is that flamingo float?!

There is a patterned paper in the Poolside collection that has these big monstera leaves on it and I felt the need to fussy cut some! There's also some in the ephemera pack. It's totally random but I tucked these leaves in between the crab's leg haha! Random or not, I like the way it looks :).

On one side I created a flower cluster, again, totally random, but I love flowers so it's all good!

On the other side I created another cluster with some summer icons like flip flops, snorkelling mask and a swim ring. To create a dimensional look I used foam adhesive in many places.

This layout came together very quickly, it's quite possibly the quickest layout I have ever made! But I still like how it turned out, I hope you do too!

Thanks for stopping by today, have an amazing day!

Pinkfresh Studio July Release Blog Hop

Hey there crafty friends and welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio July Release Blog Hop! There's so many awesome products in this release, I'm sure all of you finds something you like! Also! Christmas in July y'all!!! It's so weird to create Christmas cards now... I've never actually done this. Last year I started making them in November or so and I thought I was so early haha!

It was really hard to decide which products to use first, I wanted to try each one! Unfortunately I had no time though as we were getting ready for vacation - as you read this we should be arriving to our favorite place in the world, Barcelona, Spain!

Alright, the first product I will show you is the Geo Floral Background die. While this is not a holiday die, I decided to create only christmas cards for today's post. All cards are 4.25"x5.50" (one is landscape format) top folding cards. For my first card I die cut the Geo Floral Background from white card stock and glued it on a white card base.

I then stamped the unicorn from the Magical Christmas stamp set with Versafine ink on a light pink paper from last year's Christmas collection and embossed it with gold embossing powder. I die cut the image with the co-ordinating Magical Christmas die set. I stamped my sentiment on vellum and embossed it too. I added some gold tangled thread behind the unicorn for texture. I finished it off by adding some gold splatters and puffy heart stickers.

OK, this next set, the Train Ride stamp and die set, is the cutest ever! The images are so tiny!!! Everything is adorable in a small size right? Ha! I matched my ink colors to last year's Pinkfresh Studio Christmas collection, then I stamped all the little elements on white card stock. The pieces that have a co-ordinating dies, I die cut and placed on pop dots to give them dimension. Everything else I stamped on the background paper directly.

Just for something different, I made a "hill" from patterned paper and placed the train on it, as if it was going up the hill.

I felt like my card wasn't finished, so I decided to add some shimmer on the train (not sure if it's visible here in the photos) as well as some pearls!

My last two cards are made from one diecut panel! Nothing goes to waste here haha! So I cut the background panel from pink glitter card stock, then die cut a circle shape fom from this. I backed my first panel with a light pink patterned paper from last year's Christmas collection.

I pulled out some embellies from the previous Christmas collection and placed them on my card front.

Some gold thread, pearls and done!

On the other card I used the negative cut out. This glitter paper is so pretty, I wasn't going to waste any of it!hk

I went with a simple white backround, only added some gold splatters. I layered everything in the midde, at times with foam adhesive, other times just normal glue.

The embellies are again from last year's Pinkfresh Christmas collection.

And now for the fun part! As always, we have giveaways for you! Pinkfresh Studio is giving away the entire July release to one lucky commenter - so make sure you leave a comment on their blog hop blog post!
You can also win a $25 gift card at every stop in the blog hop! The winners will be picked from the comments and announced on Sunday, July 15th on the Pinkfresh Giveaway page. Please remember to check that page and to claim your prize within 2 weeks.
